From Jon: "My music is acoustic blues-oriented finger-style guitar with swing & bluegrass influences thrown in for good measure. Think John Hiatt meets Keb Mo, meets "The Band". From Haverhill, Massachusetts, Jon headed south to NC to study American History at Duke University & to continue his musical journey. Here he learned the piedmont blues tradition 1st hand while playing in Big Boy Henry's backing band, as well as with other great older NC Blues Players. From this start, he launched & cast his musical net far & wide giving concerts all over the country as well as a very successful European tour summer of 2013. His latest CD, Ordinary Cats, (released 2013) is wonderful! The title song wastes no time getting you hooked...Ordinary Cats is a personal song written about their early days as musicians and writers; the underlying themes are are universal. "Level it Out" ...it's just the way it is...We want what we don't have, til we have it. A wonderful CD of mostly original songs; I highly recommend it. A great CD to cook by, dance to, or just sit and listen to.
