While music is the advertised dominant theme of the festival, there is MUCH more going on simultaneously. This is a family friendly 4-day event. People come from all over the country. For some, it's a bi-yearly ritual: coming back to NC to meet & play with Shakori friends; old & new. One family told me the first year they came, they met a local family. Now, they have annual reunions, camping together @ Shakori. There's something for everyone: arts & crafts for kids, yoga, botanical walks, shopping, reunions, music...& more.
